What is the process for entering into a physical body? For example, at what point does the spirit/soul enter the human body? (i.e. before birth or sometime shortly after).

I've heard more than one explanation. One that has been repeated often from those on the next planes of life is that the spirit of the person incarnating enters after birth, and that people actually see it happening. The other is that people can remember themselves in the womb, implying that the spirit is there. We aren't sure. But as to the abortion issue, they're very clear that nothing can harm the spirit. The body is just a vehicle, like an old car. What happens to it isn't important. If a fetus is aborted, that has no effect on the spirit. The person who might have entered that body just enters another with the same woman later or enters with another entirely or even incarnates on a different sphere of existence. Nothing can harm the spirit. The furor over abortion is misguided and is clearly a result of our materialistic obsession with the body. The body is just a prop in the play. The spirit is all that lives eternally and nothing can harm the spirit.

Is the tunnel of light people often describe after death a "passageway" into the higher dimensions of the afterlife?

You have to understand that when someone has a near-death experience or just crosses over, that person isn't any different than they were an hour before. It's a human being in a body. The events we experience are in human body terms. The "tunnel" and light and even seeing personages such as Jesus or Yamraj, Hindu king of the dead. The essence or deeper experience is coming into a realm full of love and compassion. The person carries his or her life experiences and expectations into the afterlife and there, a life is created that fits his or her attitude and expectations. The love and compassion may come in the form of a personage they expect to see as love and compassion, but it's that they expect it and it is part of their life there because it fits them.

You ask,
When you refer to these higher planes of vibration is that the same as 4th, 5th, 6th dimension, etc?

The description of "vibrations" or "spheres" or "planes" is just bringing into Earthspeak what we really don't have words for. Although, I do think that the "vibrations" have counterparts in Earth energy. In other words, when we look into matter, we see energy, and the energy could be just the way our Earth perceptions experience the consciousness or mind of God that underlies everything.
