Hi David,

Why is there something rather than nothing? Of course, if there weren't something, we wouldn't be conversing right now.

I think the concept of nothingness is an artifact of the physical realm, with its beginnings and endings. If we didn't witness beginnings and endings, we wouldn't wonder about why things exist.

It's clear that consciousness is eternal, and matter and energy are emergent from consciousness. Everything we see in the physical realm is the mind of God. So there is nothing but God.

That having been said, consicousness, eternal, indestructable, without limitations, is the universe. It is all that has ever existed and all that will ever exist. It fills the entire concept of existence and eternity. It simply is. All the rest is just artifacts rising from this eternal consciousness of which our consciousness is a part--the mind of God.
