Hi Bernie,

Nice to hear from you. You asked about whether we'll be able to trace our progression through eternity when we enter the next plane of life.

Everything in our eternal lives is oriented toward our wellbeing. We are growing spiritually in every moment, in every incarnation. On the Earth plane, the events often seem unnecessarily harsh and tragic. However, from these things, we learn lessons. It isn't that someone is killed so we can learn a lesson. It's just that dying happens; loss is part of life. And when those things just happen, it's an opportunity for us to grow.

Throughout all of our past lifetimes and this lifetime, we've had thousands or millions of such incidents. Not one of them is lost in eternity. They're all available for us to reexamine and learn from when we're on the next plane of life. And we can learn from others' experiences also.

We learn by seeing the experiences in a new light. As we look back on our lives on this plane, we'll be able to see what happened and feel how others around us felt. We'll see all sides and all perspectives of events. In so doing, we'll learn about ourselves through understanding other people. And so, we'll have a life review that takes place over time, in which we grow spiritually from what happened on the Earth plane.

Similarly, we can learn lessons from previous lives that fit with what we're learning during this life. When those lives are pertinent, we'll relive incidents from them.

However, we won't simply be able to go back through all of our previous lives. As we mature spiritually in the next life, we'll have the option of looking at more and more of those past lives out of interest. But when we first transition into the next plane of life, those other lives won't be available to us. They'll be too much and too confusing. We'll still be who we are, with our memories of the Earth plane just as we have them now. Much later, we'll be able to look at those lives at will.

So the answer is that we can't look back through all of our past lives when we first cross over, but we will look back through our current life to learn lessons. Everything that happens exists for our good. We will be brought along as we have the wisdom and capability to experience things. And those things from this life and other lives that are limited in scope but will be helpful to us as we grow spiritually will be available to us when the time is right.

In all things, we need to be patient. Everything happens in its own time, and all things work together for our good because the universe and the Higher Power will only give us what's best for our eternal selves.
