Pet Afterlife Communication

My cat of 18.5 years, Tigger passed last week. Since then twice I've been in the bedroom and heard him meowing at nite. I feel like I am crazy and quite possible hearing things but I know what heard.
Can anyone provide me any information about pets trying to communicate after they have passed?
