Bernie, you are a permanent person, although your eternal self is made up of many experiences that you don't remember now. It is like the fact that you right now are made up of the infant you were, the 5 year old you were, the 10 year old you were, the 20 year old you were, and all of the ages inbetween. You are all of those people, from children through adolescents to young adults to adults. And yet right now, you're Bernie. You have some memories of those other lives as the other people you were at 5, 10, and so on, but there was much more to those lives that you just don't remember. You couldn't.

When you transition back to the realm that is more your home than this one is, you'll be exactly the same person. It will be a while before you're given the ability to recall those past lives you had. When you first transition, your body will be as you were in your 20s or 30s because that is what you'll likely prefer. And all your loves, dislikes, attitudes, memories and everything you are is who you will be then.
