Hello Bernie,You asked about, "before we reincarnate we choose who our parents should be!in our new incarnation."
You have to understand about what we get from the other side when we communicate with them. If you were on another planet and had never been to Earth, and if you sent a signal to Earth asking, "What's Earth like," you'd get a response from just that spot where your signal landed. If it landed in a desert, the person receiving it might say, "Earth is barren and full of sand." If your signal landed in the Arctic, you'd get the communication, "Earth is covered with snow and cold."
It's like that when we communicate with the other side. There are millions of planes of existence, and every person's story there is unique. What happens to us fits who we are as individuals. We are eternal selves, each different from every other eternal self who's ever lived. And so, what happens to me when I incarnate or when I leave the Earth plane is going to be very different from what happens to you or to anyone else.
What we've learned very clearly is that when you get communication from the afterlife about what the afterlife is like, you're hearing the report from an individual who is only able to report about his or her own life and some limited understanding of the lives of others he or she knows. You're not getting the encyclopedia of everything that happens to everyone.
So it appears that there are some people who choose their parents when they incarnate. Some people incarnate in soul groups, so the members of their group are in certain roles they've arranged to play. Many incarnate in a general circumstance that will help them learn lessons, but without specific designs. And some people even incarnate without having any clue about where they're going to incarnate.
So it appears that what happens prior to incarnation fits the individual's needs and free will. We're always in charge of our lives, here and on the next planes of life. We decide. And if we need to incarnate in a family because we need to help someone in that family or the family is part of our soul group, that's the way it will be. But that doesn't make it a rule for everyone.
When you think of communication with those in the afterlife about their realm, think about the responses you'd get if you just sent a signal to Earth not knowing anything about Earth or where it would land. The widely varying responses are like what we get from the afterlife. But when we look at all the responses we've received, we realize that the people are describing one real realm, just with different characteristics in the parts.
Love and peace, Craig
