Yes, many or most people can have their own communication with their loved ones living in other planes of life. Start by watching Phil G.'s video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN4SOjwY2Mw
To communicate, you must quiet yourself, talk openly with your loved one and wait for impressions. Don't expect to hear voices. Become accustomed to just letting whatever comes come. And be patient. Try this over several months, once a day.
