Many different types of orbs have been captured in photographs and on film. Some I've seen on film clearly flutter; they're insects. But others travel in straight lines, appear and disappear, and have had effects on people in contact with them. They're not dirt floating through the air and they're not insects.

Spirit photographs often pick up faces in circles, or orbs. One person who came through from the afterlife in a Leslie Flint seance described them as people who have not fully materialized onto this plane, but have a small presence in the orb that we see.

Dorothy Izatt, the woman from Canada that has thousands of feet of film of lights in the Canada sky, was filmed for a documentary. Her daughter was explaining what she saw and as the video was being made, an orb clearly went to her chest. As it met her, she visibly relaxed.

They're only captured on videos and photographs, however. That means they're fleeting in and out of existence very quickly. We don't understand why that's true.
