No, everything has a reason. We just don’t understand what it is.

Yes. You and he will both decide whom you want to be with, just as you do now on the Earth plane. You always have free will. And if one of you wants to be with the other, but the other doesn’t want to continue the relationship, you won’t be together or you'll work out some other kind of visiting arrangement. If that happens, you’ll have to grow out of that relationship. But that change is important to your eternal self's growth.
